Brisbane City Council appointed RiverCity Motorway (RCM) to build, own, operate and maintain the North-South Bypass Tunnel (NSBT). About the NSBT
Working together in a Joint venture these prestigious firms will design and build the NSBT - currently Queensland's largest infrastructure project.
Dual 4.8 km twin lane tunnels will run under the city between Woolloongabba and Bowen Hills, creating Australia's longest road tunnel.
The NSBT will also comprise substantial associated surface works to connect the tunnel to the existing road network. The road will incorporate state-of-the-art electronic tolling to integrate seamlessly with other Australian toll roads.
